Recently Imtiaz Ali gave an interview. During this he said, “I had read Hindu mythological books at a very young age and it had a great impact on my life. I could not live without reading it. I started understanding its meaning. Bhagavad Gita is also an important book in my life. This is the book that you will find on my table even today. In the sixth class, I was traveling by train and I did not have much money in my pocket. And coincidentally, Gita was the only book in the stall at the railway station that I could afford. I also felt that the people around me must be feeling strange thinking why I am reading Gita.
I am lucky that I read this book when I was a child.
Imtiaz further says, “While reading this book, there were some things that I had to read 10-12 times. But I understood. After this, I used to read a few pages every day. Now I know this book deeply.
